Okay, here is installment # 2 of Fashion Friday. This is a nail trend I've seen becoming really popular aside from the nail art where one nail, usually your middle finger, is a different color than the rest of your nails. This is the reverse french manicure trend. The reverse french manicure is just that. With a french manicure the white color is at the tip of your nails. In this trend, the white, or whatever color you choose, is at the bottom of your nails. This trend is becoming big because it is a new take on a classic style. With the dark and light colors of the nail polish that you choose, you are sure to catch someone's eyes with this sleek take on popular style. Plus, this isn't just a summer style or even a bridal style. I tend to see french manicures more during the summer and at weddings. This reverse style can fit any occasion, especially with the colors you choose to mix n' match. I personally love this style mainly because it doesn't require me to have long nails. I personally don't like having long nails, I prefer short nails. Plus, no matter how hard I try, when i try to grow out my nails and make them strong they always end up breaking off. I hate the feeling of a broken nail so I just keep my nails short and cute. This style of nail is actually pretty simple to pull off especially if you have nail art pens or nail art brushes. Thanks to my sister, Jess, for letting me use one of her Amazon gift cards, I was able to order the Hot Designs Nail Art pens and I love them! They are very easy to use. There is some debate with this nail trend though: do you put the light color on the bottom and put the darker color on top? Or do you put the dark color on the bottom and the lighter one on top? I will be testing this out soon and sharing my findings in a new YouTube video. I will be doing a tutorial video on how to do a reverse french manicure. It will be linked here in this blog and also posted on our FB page so be on the lookout for that. Until next time! -SJ
