Break is over, time to go back to school, we drove back today.
And it was a interesting drive. The best part was that there wasn't any traffic at all, it was smooth sailing all the way up to Roanoke. Which is cool because if you know the traffic on the interstates around the holidays, you know how frustrating it can be. So we made it to school in record time. *Punches with with fist*. And we were able to listen to a lot of music on the way up which was cool (aka "Car Tunes" <---that was Mack's joke) and I sang and sang until I started to lose my voice. You don't ever want to get me around music I love, I really get into it. (Plus, that reminds me that my bass instructor suggested I take voice lessons while I'm in my last semester since it's so easy and I was actually thinking about it). So, being the silly people we are, instead of lowering the music when we tried to talk to talk to each other, we just shouted. I was sitting in the back with Mere and Mack and Steph were in the passenger and driver's seats. Every now and then we would say something and then the other person would lean forward or back and say... WHAT?! And have to have the comment repeated a few times before we decided to turn down the music. So for a while we were just shouting at each other. Then we got to school, unpacked, ate dinner, and (also what we're currently doing) decided to chill. We were looking at the news about a "celebrity" couple that had just recently gotten married and changed BOTH of thier last names to a smushing of their respective last names (without a hyphen) and hwo werid it is. Our comments were tame compared to everyone else's. The nwe got into a conversation about the celebrities that get their names mushed together that actually sounds right (Bradgelina) or actually makes a work (TomKat) and came to the sad conclusion that our 'couple names' would not work with anything. Though we had fun trying to come up with something. Mack came up with her and someone who's name started with an 'L'. They would be known as 'Lack' for lack of a better name. Haha. Then we got into the conversation about how many big bands and actors and athletes have nicknames for their fans "Beliebers", "Monsters", "Katy Kats", "Cruisers", what have you. We thought that if we ever got a fanbase big enough that our fans would want to call themselves something...we wouldn't want them to. It's getting annoying and none are unique, but we came up with a few good ones: Jackson -Jacksonites -Jacksonians Jess -Jessters Mack - we came up with the most for this one -Apples -Big Macs -Sandwiches -Subs -Mini Subs -Truckies Mere -Mereian -Mayors (if you stress/pronounce Mere's name like 'Mayor' it makes sense) Steph -Stephanites Mack clearly has the better ones, but it was still fun to come up with. We were laughing sooooooooooo hard when we came up with them. Probably the highlight of our day, apart from trying to shove so much food into our car at the same time we were telling our dogs goodbye, talking to our Dad on the phone, and trying to help Mpm set p her computer.
