Wow, it's been over two months since I last did a blog post. Usually I'm better at keeping up with things like this. Well, as long as it's better than the time that I had tried to blog every day. I almost made it a year and then forgot one day and...urgh I was so close! But to berate myself over not blogging in a while is not the point of this post. The point is to catch people up. So that being said...last year of grad school! Whooooo! I actually didn't think it would come so soon. Time does fly by a lot quicker than it had been, I even remember saying how slow it was going to go by when I started last year and look at that! *Jess whips out a pair of binoculars and directs her gaze towards the horizon*. I can already see graduation coming closer. Of course there's a lot that has to be done before then but I've always been the kind of person that has enough talent with time management that I can always plan and look ahead. As a matter of fact I've been doing that a lot in the aspect of the career I'll start once I get my degree. To be honest, I'm not entirely picky about the career I'll start just as long as I'm happy. Would I like to continue to have a job that's like my internship where I work in Social Media Marketing? Sure. Would I like to have a job that's like my work with S4? Sure. Would I still like to be a published writer? Sure. I'd even be fine working in a publishing house as I continue to work towards that dream. Anything as long as I'm using the talents that I already exercise every day and am happy. Speaking of writing, I am still working on the book Reagan. It's slow going, but I'm still working on it. After having gotten some new books this past weekend and enjoying them, I'm figuring out other books/short stories/novels my sisters and I would like to work with, too. But right now, the focus is the Quadruple or Nothing series. As you could probably guess grad school takes up a lot of time. Royal Flush is still being worked on, but it may take some time as we navigate through our busy schedules. Along with that, we entered a contest! *Throws Confetti*. If you saw our post on Facebook then you're up to speed, if not here it is: We entered our book, Two Pair, into a novel contest. But not just any novel contest, if you win you will receive an agent as well as the chance to have your book published; professionally. Anyone that knows us knows that we love to write, we take pride in what we write, and were very grateful that a program under Amazon has allowed us to become authors sooner than we ever imagined. However if we win this contest it will be even more official. So please help us by voting for our book, it would mean the world. So get to voting, people. I know that you may have reservations about creating an account just to vote (trust me, I wish that weren't the case) but it would mean a lot if you voted. Or at least spread the word. Even if we don't win, it was a great opportunity to get out book out to other people, I've already had a friend on Twitter say they really enjoyed it so that's something. Our dream is still alive! (Though a sitcom off of it would be cool too, haha). Happy Wednesday and enjoy the rest of your week! -Jess
